The Ascent Viewer was developed to give expanded control to content creators, developers and estate managers with features adopted from other popular third party viewers. It is being developed mainly by two Second Life residents, Hg Beeks and Charley Levenque with Belaya Statosky in charge of the official Ascent Viewer Mac Build. They are also committed in providing a viewer that is fast, efficient and stable enough for everyone to use.

Ascent Viewer is not lacking in features. The current version basically has all the popular features found in other Third Party Viewers except maybe for one and that is support for Restrained Love. Below are just some of the more popular features found in the Ascent Viewer:
